I was unable to go and attend this meet at the weekend and am just finding out some of the results now.
Andy Bolton attempted a 460kg deadlift (1012lbs) and from what I’ve heard was so damn close to actually achieving this that the crowd started cheering like mad as they assumed he made the pull. Unfortunately he lost it just before the down signal and had to drop this.
I hope there will be some clips somewhere within the next couple of days as that must've been one hell of a competition!
