I've been going with higher reps (8-10) recently, going for more muscle definition. I've been doing this for over a month.
While I'll admit I think I look a little better in the mirror, it's not THAT much better, if at all. And on top of that, I don't get to lift really heavy weights every week.
I never realized that it's not really weightlifting that I enjoy, but it's lifting heavy things. Honestly, I don't see how some people can do this. It's just no fun to me.
I enjoyed so much loading double or triple my body weight on the bar for a few reps rather than 40-50 pounds over my bodyweight for 8 reps.
Screw this bodybuilding thing. Powerlifting is just so much more fun. This upcoming week shall be my return to powerlifting. THE SQUAT RACK BECKONS ME!:strong:
