It's been awhile since I've been on here, but I remember learning a TON from people here when I started competing in powerlifting (back in 2007). I'm hoping to document some of my training to possibly inspire others and push myself beyond my limits.
Some background info:
38 years old
Hey guys, this is my first post! I've been keeping a private log for a while, and I recently started a log on a different site. It seems that more people on this website are interested in powerlifting and natural lifting than the other one though, so I'm going to start posting here!
Here are my...
Hey guys this is my log, I am going to be posting my workouts on here from now on I also keep a video log on my YouTube account. I lift with guys in the North Carolina High Country at Appalachian State University. I am currently competing in the 198 pound class and am going for a pro total both...
So I saw that Jim Wendler released a new version of 5/3/1 and with the holidays and work ive been looking for something simpler and shorter for my training so I decided to finally give it a shot.
I usually am not one for set programs so im probably going to stray a bit on the accessory work, but...
Hi all. I was looking for a place to post my journal. Saw Big Tone posting here so figured my presence couldn't make it any worse. :evillaugh:
I'm a 42 year old powerlifter. I started about 4-5 years ago and have competed a couple of times, though it has been about a year and a half because...
Alright guys, it's now or never. Allow myself to introduce....myself. I'm Andrew, I'm 17 5'11 165lbs. About a year ago, maybe a lil more, I was 5'10 240lbs. I've lost quite a bit of weight, but I lost a lot of muscle along with it. About two months ago I decided to join the gym. I started...
I am straying a bit, so I don't want to keep a journal under the title of DC training. For those who have been following my other journal, you will see what I mean after a few entries and should be able to figure out what I am doing. The routine is still very inspired by...
After a couple years of really crappy curl jockey training, I finally found this site, and got my act together. The date I registered, just a little over a year ago, was the day I started my new lifestyle, with the help of all of you. 'Could go on with a crappy long story, but I'll cut to the...
Hi everyone! I have been lurking around the site for a bit and really want to make a log and join the diverse group of lifters posting here. A little about me:
Weight: 110-113 note: I have competed twice in the 114 class and now plan to cut weight to 105 for my April 2013...
Hey! I've been training for about a year and a half (after nearly 10 years of inactivity in over 20 years as a nuclear submariner) and this journal is mainly to help me keep track of progress whilst (hopefully) motivating me to push harder!
In the 1st year of training I put on about a stone of...
Right, here goes.
Been training the last six months, but only at home and with little space, equipment or idea, except that squats, deads and benches are good.
Joined a local gym (bargain student price) and today was my first time down there. Left my mrs to do her cardio on the bikes and I...
Hi everyone I have posted an introduction in the general chat. I am currently 11 weeks out from my first comp in November in Bournemouth, England where I will be lifting as a junior in the raw 125kg class. I am a big fan of the 5/3/1 routine, will try out this revised version that Jim Wendler posted earlier this year, looks very interesting and fun :drooling:
It is done 4 days per week, and three cycles...
Here we go, it's a new year with some new goals, so why not start a new journal. I've decided to skip the BMC once again. They changed the date from March 24th to March 10th and it sort of threw me off guard. So now i'm just going to start 531 and train to get strong.
Alright guys - I've started designing my own workout regimes. I've got an app just out called the Strongman workout with Eddie Hall - do let me know what you think of it - happy to tweak it!
Got a 28 day challenge to put on 8lbs of muscle and four workout regimes and a month's worth of meal...

Figured I'd start a new journal here. I have a meet in just over 2 weeks(Feb 14th). I have been maintaining my bodyweight at right around 153 for the past 6 weeks or so and I will compete @148 and hopefully rehydrate back up to at least 153. My goal is to squat 600+ and total Elite. Here are a...
Ok...since this forum is populated by some of the baddest/strongest MFers on earth, I'll start keeping a log here, just to lower the overall stats and maybe get some useful advice.
Since I'm from Europe, all weights will be in kilos, ok?
Let's recap (single ply gear # in brackets):
I love everyones advice here so though I should post my work-outs!
I believe a strong mind is key to reaching your goals.

Since all the forums out there suck, and I've been using ALN stuff for a while now, I figured I would throw a training log up here.

Just to give you guys some background information on myself, I have competed amateur and pro from the 220's to the SHW's. I used to compete full meet, but ruptured two discs in my back which caused me to be a bench specialist (well, for the most part). I once held the all time 275 record and my...
Doing a meet in October (17th Annual RPS Power Challenge October 12-13)...thought I'd start a journal leading up to the meet.

I did a meet this weekend, so I'll start my log with that. I train in my garage with other lifters that I coach. I basically steal ideas from Westside and Super Training (even have the same training days as them) and add things to it based on our weaknesses. We video all of our workouts, and...
