I'm interested in finding a book on nutrition to read and just wondering if anyone had recommendations. I've been lifting and focusing on diet for about 10 years, but would like to get a better academic take on nutrition. I'm trying to stay away from a book promoting a specific diet and think I'm am looking for almost a text book. Interested in detail explanations of digestion, insulin response, protein absorption, etc.
Definitely text book. No agenda generally speaking.
Advanced Nutrition and Human Metabolism
(Gropper, Smith, Groff)
The Protein Book
Thanks, checked out Advanced Nutrition and Human Metabolism from google books and is exactly what I'm looking for. Just ordered a copy through amazon.
