Pre-contest diet help
Hi everyone - I started at about 18% or so on January 1st and right now am about 15%. I'm on a 15-week plan to hit 6-8%. My question is, for the last two weeks, whats the best way to shred the water and get the deep cuts? Should I carb deplete and then load while low sodium/water? Anyone with any actual experiences? Thanks!
At 6-8% you will not be lean enough to worry about shedding water. Get lean enough first. This was the issue I ran into. I worried about shedding water, but I needed to worry about shedding that another 1-2% of bf off. I wound up looking worse the day of the show than I had 2 weeks out. My main piece of advice would be to not rush the weight loss and come in too flat.
Cool. Could you by any chance PM me your pre-contest diet / training (like 3-4 weeks out and onward)? Also, what advice do you have for getting from 6-7% to 3-4% for someone that tends to get stuck in the 6-8? Carb depletion/loading?
