progress from SS
hi, im just making this thread cause ive seen alot of new comers on here question starting strength. well i was a new comer a couple of months ago and i took some advice from some of the members and started doing SS and stuffin my face. here's my results to prove SS does work.
when i first started im 5'6 i weighed a 140 soaking wet. i was skinny!
on all of my working sets this is what i started with
i benched 95
now my working sets are
i have yet to have ME day i probly should .
and here is a pic i took today 5 months after starting SS. im completely relaxed, not flexing at all i dont have a before pic, i wish i did though. im weighing in at 165
im still not where i want to be but im just trying to prove that SS + food = good beginner results.

thanks guys! ive busted my butt and have taking all of the advise that i could get. you guys know your ****, so im here to learn. i also have a question. i think ive starting to hit a plateau :/ i recently started skull crushers on my b days and bb curls on my A days to maybe try to mix things up but i have stalled the past 2 weeks. should i deload and try that? or what? im open to anything to get back on track.
did you do GOMAD?
Im looking to get figures similar to yours in 6 months time and this is a real inspiration. Good to know I can achieve this and still maintain linear progression.just looking at your numbers should the bench not be a bit higher
yeah ive been on gomad for the past 2 months. its tough to get used to but its worth it! I really noticed a large gain in strength and weight when i went on gomad.
i know my bench is a little low. thats why ive added skull crushers to try to work my tris more. it kills me that my bench is so low, but i keep getting told it will come in time, so im just giving it time.
at first i was skeptical about SS but the strength came fast and i added pounds on fast. my main deal was being consistent on my diet, once i got that down everything came fast. I'm going to ride out SS for as long as im getting gains hopefully another 6 months or so.
Like i said i have yet to have a maximum effort day, i strongly think that i could max 205 on bench. cause i throw 165 around. but man when i first started my max on bench was 120. so i have came a long way in 6 months. but im not near what i want to be. i wanna rep 225 in the future! lol, that will be a while
