Squat-They don't use monolifts for raw which fucks with me big time. I get about 50lbs out of a monolift due to my squatting stance and style. This will definitely be the last meet I do where they don't us a mono. Really I'd be happy with anything above 500.

A 1425 total would be nice. Then its time to get in a comp with a monolift and get the 1500 I've always dreamed of.

Stay with the 500 opener. You never know what can happen at a meet. 50 pounds is the perfect jump from 1st to second attempt IMO.
I like to open with something I can easily hit for a couple solid reps any given day. Second attempt is usually a personal meet PR. Third attempt is balls out.
I go against the grain. If you feel great and know that you got 525 in you on the DL opener, I'd go with that.
Do you have an idea of what you could realistically go for on the 3rd attempt on DL?
Call it a weird hunch, but I don't see you having any worries on nailing an opener of 525 or so.
I always like to open light in the deadlift myself. Treat it is a last warmup actually, as I am only feeling good again by that time. Last meet I did 540, 600, 620 I think. And only went so light on the third because the 600 felt freaking heavy due to terrible indigestion on the pull up. The 620 was easier and I wished I would have went 630-640.

I agree. Stay with 500. Get your total and then 2 decent jumps after that. No mono really blows. It is such a mind fuck. Shit always feels heavier walking out.
Welp guys the meets off.. My training partner decided all of the sudden hes not going. Kinda saw that coming. I'm not going down by myself so Vegas is off which really bums me out.
I would rather go with a friend or someone I know as it helps make the experience more enjoyable.
My first BBing contest was boring as hell. I didn't know anyone and a lot of dudes didn't want to talk. 2nd contest wasn't as bad, but a lot of seriousness throughout.
The PLing contests I did 10 years ago were all fun and I went with a group of people. Enjoyed those a lot more!
You seemed ready and set to go, too bad your partner decided to cancel. Maybe there's a remote possibility you could still do the Vegas meet. Either way, there is always next time Thomas.

3500 calories 350p 175C 156F
This should take me all the way down to 8% without modifying. I really don't have much to cut. I would like wake up around 195 so I'd be walking around at a lean 200lbs. Once I hit 195 I should be able to maintain with about 4,000cal.
I will be taking a break from westside while I cut. Westside is just a little too harsh to progress on while cutting to the bf % I want to be at. I'll just be going in circles. Once I hit my target bf% and maintain I will return to westside. In the meantime I will be doing 5/3/1 4day split.
If you still want to compete, most of my crew is going down and competing on Saturday (they just consolidated the two days into one). I'm sure we could help you out if you need it.
