Of course I like WBB and that's why I stay, but the new forum format is difficult to read for these aging eyes... Not sure why - font size, or font boldness, etc. I don't know, but something about it is harder for me to focus on.
aesthetically it's not too easy on the eyes. i must the alternating colors (white/grey) highlighting each post on the topic list.
but i don't really care, no. the old one was better imo but i'm sure i'll get used to this in no time.
The forum works great on my netscape browser, but not on my explorer. How can I fix this?
Off Road, have you tried Firefox? It's a popular alternate web browser. I use it and thousands of others do. I have minimal problems with it.
To be honest I can barely use internet explorer anymore. The differences may seem little but Firefoxes layout and the way it flows for me is awesome, I suggest you try it. Nothing to lose either way, you'll still have IE waiting for you if you don't like it.
dude, you really should use firefox (or google chrome, which i haven't tried but i hear is good). your internet will literally move faster just from switching browsers from IE. IE sucks ass.
Okay, I'm running firefox now. Everything is working good.
I use Flock at home and IE at work (not because I have a choice, it's the default).
You can guess which works better where. :)
I use google chrome at home. IE at work, but not by choice... Chrome is amazing. I noticed right away how much faster it was, pages load almost instantaneously. Now I can surf teh Pr0n so much faster...I mean....WBB. Yeah. :D
New Posts and Search are all back at the top now! :)
One other thing, is the advanced search gone? I see the regular search at the top, but searching via title, number of views, number of replies, etc. was much more handy for finding answers to repeat questions.
Good point though I will do something to make it clearer...
can we get back a way to go to gen chat (or whatever main forum it is) from the bottom of a screen? i set mine at 100 posts per page, and i gotta scroll to the top to get back to the main gen chat area. i could hit "go" at the bottom before.
After a few days I am going to have to agree with others, I find it very difficult to read and see what is going on with the new settings. Heck, it has even made me not even lurk around as much...Can't put my finger on what it is but just not very friendly to view.
I'm really not having the difficulties you guys are reading this and I spend a lot of my time on my laptop as well.
However I'll talk about it with Daniel and see if we can come up with something to make it a little easier on the eyes.
THe contrast of the dark blue on the white back ground naturally takes away from the text itself. This fatigues readers' eyes faster.
Having said that, I am used to it already and like it.
I definitely don't mind the new site, perhaps make that dark blue background a light blue, something the color (or maybe a smidge darker) than the blue in this quick reply box, unless of course my eyes are playing tricks and this box is actually white.
