Glad I did.
In other news, wrist feeling moderately better than it was - might give some very light deadlifts a go on Friday.
Glad to hear the wrist is feeling better!

Summary:
Nice and easy. Did some light deads rather than GMs as I wanted to test out the wrist. Seems fine.
Will continue slathering the joint with ibuprofen gel. Gonna add deads in again from next week.
Hopefully wrist will hold up to mixed grip.
Should be good to go where the wrist is concerned, if not, more time is needed, really not a bad deal since it could have been worse.
Really like what you are doing, the fact that you are a novelist and having your stuff out there is great.
Thanks Coke! My college course is providing me with the qualifications to go into wildlife conservation, which is a sector I love. but the pay isn't stellar.
As long as the writing gives me enough of an income to let me enjoy whatever career I end up in, regardless of pay, then I'll be happy.
Hoping, within the next three/four years, to move back down to my family's ancestral home-county, Cornwall.
Specifically, the towns of either Marazion or St Ives.
St Ives

Marazion

My family moved up from Cornwall in my grandfather's time, so would be nice to move back there. Everytime I go there on holiday it feels like coming 'home' if you get me.
Looks like cool places bro. Both by the sea a?
Hey Hayden.
Yeah, both St Ives and Marazion are in Cornwall, the most south-westerly county in England. It's known as the County between two seas.

The two villages are only ten miles apart, but Marazion is on the English Channel and St Ives is on the Atlantic, lol.
That castle on the island off the shore of Marazion is called St Michael's Mount. Toured it a few times now, never gets old. Before a castle, it was a shrine to St Michael and dates back to 495ad.

Summary:
Awful session. Was supposed to work up to a triple at 140kg, but 125kg felt like a 3rm, it was so hard.
Just stood there, stunned for a few minutes, pondering whether to go for 3plates or not, but decided just to hit the legs some more and get out.
Felt pretty dejected.
Lots of things conspiring to get me down, atm, training being only one of them. Not hit a DL or Squat PR since starting 5/3/1 and it's starting to wear on me. I know it can only be my fault, so can't complain too loud, lest someone hear me.
Need to eat more, but finances at this precise moment are extremely tight, so that's out of the question. Could cut down on the cardio, but don't want to do that either, because cardio fitness disappears so quickly.
No option, atm, but to grin and bear it.
I never found that that 5/3/1 did my much for strength gains. Maybe add a few singles at the end similar to Matt Rhodes version?
Hey bud - would like to, and has been suggested before by others.
Just having the energy - drained all the time atm and feel just as tired when I get up in the morning as I do last thing at night.
Think it's a calorie thing, what with all the cardio etc.
Finances are tight atm, with my wife and I both at college, but I've got a VERY sizeable inheritance coming through, soon, so that'll make things substantially easier. Gonna grin and bear it and take each workout as it comes till I have the means to up the ante.
Have you looked at the 5/3/1 for powerlifting? It's just like the original but you switch it to 3/5/1 and you add in singles.
This is all hills and valleys like anything else, so no big deal when it doesn't go so well.
Lovely scenic shots, both St Ives and Marazion are beautiful!!
Hey Brian - yeah, that's what I'm supposed to have been doing, but not been having enough left in the tank for it, haha!
I'm very tempted to knock squats and deads back a coupla cycles and work back up again...
Cheers Coke. My family used to live down there, back in my grandfather's days. My surname is Pengelly, which is as Cornish as they come. Really aching to move back down there when we're finished with college.
Sometimes you have to take a few steps back.

A poor session, as frustrating as it can be, is still better than no session at all.
keep plugging away gaz, tough times dont last, tough people do!
