'm going to be taking the rest of the week off as a deload. Several reasons for this include: I've been putting a lot of time on the forum getting my admin stuff sorted out, making changes to the forums and doing the newsletter. I'm fighting a nasty cold that reared it's ugly head yesterday

The Kings should definitely be better than what they are. A lot of talent, but a lot of losses piling up. The Clippers are going through the same things, maybe it's a California thing?

It felt great to be back in the garage and lifting some iron. I didn't want to go crazy my first day back, so I kept everything pretty moderate. The presses felt really good and the singles weren't close to a max, just good hard reps. The pull-ups are hard and I start losing ROM as I progress in the reps. But strangely, the last few were pretty good again as my speed increased. I used absolutely no kipping or any body english at all. Just good solid form with no cheating.
Obviously I'm back on the 5/3/1 (actually it's 3/5/1). Being sick made me think a lot. The thing I hated most about being sick was being weak and winded. I really didn't care that I looked like shat, I just hated being weak. So, I think that down deep I long for great strength as opposed to having a good physique. So, back to strength training I go for good, and hopefully the physique will contine to grow along the way...
I struggle like hell with pullups. Been doing lots of bodyweight exercises over the xmas period cos couldn't go down to gym (a) was shut, b) my back was hurting still).
Been using pullup bar and can only do about 6 chins in a row and 5 lat pullups.
Gonna keep trying them to see if I progress. Think gonna get rid of lat pulldowns now and just focus on pullups.
I did that routine before and it worked GREAT! And that's what I'm currently doing right now.
