Notes: Still not fully recoverd from the illness that I have acquired since Thursday but I was itching to train after missing Saturdays session. I was floored on Saturday between the heavy squatting on Friday night and being sick so training of any kind would have been a crappy idea. Instead of training I had an Epsom salt bath as hot as I could handle and dumped a load of Olbas oil in to see if it would clear my sinuses a bit. I couldnt even smell the eucolyptus but I knew it was strong because it was stinging my eyes, lol.
Anyway, the squats felt heavier than they should have today. There was a bit of plopping to the box on second reps and there wasnt much speed but still, I got work in.
Good job getting the work in JM. Hope you feel better soon.
Props on going in and getting some work done!!!
That's showing great character, getting some huge work in regardless.
Sounds like a bad flu you've got JM! Good to hear you're looking after yourself though.
Hope your back to it full action shortly, nice session none the less!!

Notes: Done and out. This was in the commercial gym at around dinner time. It was rammed and I think it was possibly international arm day. Lots of curl variations going on followed by posturing in the mirrors, raising tank tops and popping side abs while pouting. GRIM
Great effort and some pretty damn good work really!!
Nice work!!! Don't you just love commercial gyms, lol.
I love the guys who walk around with their arms sticking out....and have absolutely no lats. Always good for a laugh.
Good work on the deload buddy. I want to see you blow my numbers out of the water soon!
Impressed with the benching and in general bro.
Thanks a lot guys..
I have been nursing a lower back/right hip problem. Dunno WTF it is but it has been pissing me off. I squatted on Friday night and in the vids I could actually see my ass shift to the right as I desended into my squat. I also seemed to have zero core strength and I really had trouble staying upright. I have been stretching and PVC pipe rolling like crazy and it all seems to have loosened it up a bit.

suit w/ straps down(leviathan)
straps up loose
Notes: Left pretty unsettled about my low back and hip. Hopefully something clunks back into place. I have had a lot of loud pops from my lower back when lying on the ground and cranking my legs across in a kind of trunk rotation. Fingers crossed. I will see a chiro if things are no better this Friday night.
This was the first night in our new monolift too. Its pretty awesome. It was also my first rattle in a leviathan. I am struggling so badly with depth in the jack so I was offered a leviathan and I took it. It is like it was made for me. I like the higher cut leg openings and I can actually feel the bar on my back with the thinner straps. I didnt give it a fair run though although I didnt have any knee wraps on for the 660's which is a first, lol. It is much tighter than my jack but strangely more comfortable. I could force me knees our far harder. I just felt much better in it aside from the lower back and hip problems. This Friday will be the last heavy squat before the comp. I need to be dialled in. I skipped this weeks lower assitance day to rest my back and hip. Fingers crossed.

Notes: Gym was empty because of St Patricks day and Ireland were playing England in the rugby later on. Im not sure why but everything just felt heavy and awkward. Hopefully this is just a slump and I will be on the up right in time for my comp. 3 and a bit weeks to go :) I got through this session and then went to a friends with the kids for chilli and the rugby.
Jeez I really hope your ok mate!! Take it easy, no sence smashing yourself into the ground.
I hope you get everything figured out and fixed. Do you have any plans for a meet?
Good work with the squats and the new suit. Hopefully your back and hip gets better.
Get to the chiro and get that hip fixed. Dont sweat the accessory work. Just an off day. Lord knows I have them all the time it seems lol. With a week off before the meet, you should be ready to tear it up. Cant wait to see the Leviathon work for you.
Hopefully this is just a slump and I will be on the up right in time for my comp. 3 and a bit weeks to go
What.....you mean you dont read the drivel at the bottom of my posts? #guttedQuote:
This Friday will be the last heavy squat before the comp.
LMAO!! Cheers Brian ;)
Wow, I'm sorry bro. I read it because I remember the rugby game. I feel like an ass now, lol. Oh well, BEST OF LUCK!!!!
Good to see you got everything planned out, especially the week off before the meet. Hope the hip/lower back feels better soon.
It's all good brother. I usually read through post so fast, I figured I missed it,
