I took this week off from training like I always do and I pretty much laid around the house and relaxed. My weight is back up to 250 and the plan is to maintain. I will start training tomorrow and I might have to start training 3 days/week for about 5 months. If so, this is what it will look like:
For this cycle, I'm going to focus on just doing the main 3 lifts once a week. I really need to focus on my upper back strength, so that's why I have a day just for back work. If I do go back to 4days/week, everything will stay the same, i'll just add some lower accessory work on Friday.
I was planning on competing one more time in November, but they pushed the meet forward to September and I'm working that weekend, so that's a no go. So i'm thinking about doing another local meet the first weekend of October. If so, then my goal for that meet will be an 1850 total. I think this is a goal that I can accomplish. If everything goes good, i'll be working with Tone Barbaccio again for this meet. I'll probably start training for the meet the first week of August. So in between now and then, i'm just going to try and focus on some weak points and some volume.
My home gym is coming along nice. So far what I got is a power rack, econ westside power bar, cambered bar, plate storage and a bench all from Rouge Fitness. Also, after I weighed in last Friday and I got some food in me, I went and bought 14-45lb plates and 2-25lb plates. So right now I have a total of 800lbs of weight which is plenty....for right now :) Our local Tractor Supply should be getting some stall mats, so hopefully i'll be able to set up the flooring this weekend. I'll post some pics of the rack and bars...
Remember Brian Schwab will have a meet later in October as another option in case you can't do one of those earlier in the month. The last one I did had 20 raw full power and about 30 total that did some kind of raw lifting at it.
It depends on the date. But I'm not sure if I'm ready to squat heavy without sleeves or any type of knee protection. I've thought about getting back in gear for that meet, but like I said, it depends on the date.
I'm jealous about the home gym...
Glad you're taking it easy after the meet. You earned a week's rest lol.
I have done pretty much what you have outlined for the months ahead and it worked very well, wish you the best with that and further good luck with the training and all future meets!!
Glad to hear how the home gym is coming along too.

C'mon... pics of the home gym setup!
Brain, I like how you are keeping your options open, but still have a solid plan of attack.

Nice first session, look forward to these pics
Great work Tank!!
And B-Hopp Barbell begins!!! Looks good buddy.
Glad to hear you sticking with Tone. Dont have to tell you what he can do for you. One of the best in the game.
Solid plan too. But no more multi :'( lol jk. Like Tone now, if your happy raw, then more power to you buddy.
I'll come and train at B-Hopp Barbell when it opens to the public, lol!
Will prolly just try to communicate through this more often than not, easier than through Youtube.
Seriously. The home gym. Frisky.
Yeah that's just making me jealous!
