Squat w/Texas squat bar
Added knee sleeves
(10 each leg)
Done...Squats felt pretty good today, considering how I ate like s**t and slept way too long, lol. I found a pretty good stance which doesn't cause me much pain, but it will probably throw my numbers off. I also carried the bar higher then normal and it felt good on my shoulder, so that's a keeper. I'll do my upper accessory work on Friday, then i'll deload next week and then start my 16 week training cycle for the RUM.
Training for RUM, gonna be fun! Strong squat session buddy. Glad your finding tweeks that work for you.
Pretty good day with the heavy squats and lunges guy.
What is the RUM? (sorry for my ignorance on this lol)
Thats a really cool idea! Do you know if IPF lifters are allowed to go too?
Well on track here Tank, so good to have a read through.
Plenty to learn from here bro!!!
Done...Not much to say. My only complaint is my right arm doesn't seem to be firing on all cylinders. It feels like its working harder then my left and it gives out faster. I also noticed it while doing pulldowns. I'm going to talk to my friend Justin from New Dimensions and see what he says. Also, I had plans on putting weight on but for some reason, i'm having a hard time putting on the pounds. I've been sitting around 245-248 for awhile now. Oh well, time to stop crying and keep moving on.
I skipped deadlifts yesterday. I'll do some SLDL's after squats on Thursday. Next week starts my training cycle!!!
Adding weight can be as challenging as losing weight. But overall, I prefer adding it. :D
I wish i had trouble putting weight on lol. Wonder if its a nerve problem going on in the arm. Hopefully just a temporary feeling.
Always like seeing you go at it, sharing your journey in here this way is appreciated by many!!
Yeah, im picking it will be ok maybe just fix itself like so many other things do.
I decided to just take the rest of the week off from training. I was off all week from work, so why not the gym.?
I still plan on doing the RUM, which is about 17 weeks out from tomorrow. I also decided to work on some volume for my bench and squat. So i'll be running an 8 week program that I have. I'm hoping this will give my bench and squat the boost that it needs.
As far as my deadlift, I still plan on starting the 16 week cycle I got from Tone. I'm going to change one thing with it, but that's it. I'll start that on Monday.
Rest, recharge, hit it back fresh and rarin' to go!
Deload to reload!!
Good idea with the deload, Brian. Can't push it 110% all the time.
A well deserved break!
