How fast or slow should you do a rep to achieve the maxium amount of muscle growth and strength gain?
Everybody tells me different things...
1,2,3 down, power it up
1,2,3 down, 1,2,3 up
1 down, 1 up
for me, it depends on the weight.. if it's light, power it up and down. but if it's heavy it's like 1,2,3,4 up, 1,2, down
it doesn't matter much. Do your reps under control.
ditto to pual.
there are pro's and con's with different TUT per rep.
personally when i go heavy i do a fast but controlled rep.
toward the end of my work out when i do higher reps. i may finish on body part X with slower negative phase of the rep. but still explode on the postive.
every time I see this thread I think about reo speedwagon. it's so annoying.
icic, form and control is the most import part of the rep. i have been enlightened
