How is the total gym???
Well, my uncle has been lifting weights for about 10 years now and he has a total gym along with his free weights.
I have a set of weights of my own for my heavy workouts but i need something for toning and cardio.
He has offered to give me his total gym so i was just wondering what kind of results i should expect.
I have been working out for about 1 1/2 years lifting and about 5 years cardio.
I am 181 pounds and 13% bf.
I am not huge but toned.
I would like to stay my same weight but gain a little muscle and be really cut and defined.
Tell me if you think doing 2 days of heavy weights and then 3 days doing the total gym would work out to be what i want!
Thanks for the help guys
This is also the total gym 3000 model!
It sounds like you need to change your weightlifting routine and your diet. The freeweights will build muscle and combined with the proper diet will help burn fat.
IMO, getting a total gym is no excuse to stop going to the gym :)
IMO, i'd stick to free-weights
Yup, free weights are the best. How can you squat on a total gym?! ;)
With all that toning that the Total Gym 3000 will be doing, it's hard to say no to it!
stick to free weights, high intensity, eating clean and alot of rest...u'll grow good that way...dont worry bout toning, just worry bout gettin bigger while maintainin your body fat by eating right
Thanks for the help, i figure ill spend the money on improving my home weights and maybe getting a new bench!
Freeweights means POWER! :)
If you don't have one already, get a squat rack while your at it.
