i can easily find the calories i need to maintain. and ive been able to do it. also bulk, also cut..however, when im eating just enough to maintain, i find myself with some fat... other than weights i do no exercise, and i do cardio very little on the weekends.
would u guys recommend eating at maintenance and just adding more cardio in? perhaps do a little (10 mins) every night or so?
if you gain weight ( fat ) @ what you think is maintenance.. then obviously its not your real maintenance :| take 300 or so cals off that number and see what happens.
i dont gain weight... i stay at say 170... but i find it difficult even if im eating VERY lean, very healthy..to get rid of any fat...
i suppose even if im eating healthy, if i dont add exercise or decrease calories..i simply wont get rid of the fat...
that is true.. you need to be below your maintanice inorder to lose fat.. either do it with diet.. cardio.. or both.
okay..now. Say you are at 170 and bulk to 190... now u want to get lean so u add cardio and slowly cut calories.... ur now at 175 really lean and u want to maintain this weigth.
im guessing your options are;
1) keep doing the same thing since u haven't lost any more weight, u are now at ur maintenance.
2) remove some cardio and cut back on calories (the amount u were burning with cardio) as to not gain any weight/fat.
Sometimes if you cut out cardio you appear to get a bit fatter. This may not be fat, but simply subcutaneous water deposits. So if you do cardio it will flush this added water out of your system. At least that's what I notice for myself.
