Dip Belt - Which One
Want to Take my Dips and my Pullups to the next level.
Probably going with one of these two.
RTO Weighted Leather Dip Belt
Atlus Nylon Dip Belt
Any suggestions, warnings, information?
Which do you think is better and why?
Which weight belt are you using, and if you bought it online, from where?
The one I have looks like the first one. I love it. I haven't had a single problem. It is leather and metal. What could go wrong?
Sounds Good. I figured that would be the response and that's what i'm going with.
Recommend a reputable vendor?
I have a nylon one....the hook broke once...less than a month after i got it, took it back and got a new one. and just a week ago the weld broke where the chain is connected, which wasn't hard to fix, just a spot weld was needed! other than that, no other issues with it, and is quite comfortable.
Just get 5 or 6 feet of chain from the local harware store...
I just use a regular weightlifting belt - one you would use for squats, deads, etc. Well I never use it for squats or deads, but I do use it for pull-ups. I jsut use a strong bungee cord or some rope and attacth the weight to either the metal buckle or the leather straps that the belt goes through. Its not excactly comfortable but it doesn't hurt or anything. I've used it with up to 70 lbs of weight attached and it does fine. Oh, and I always put one of those rubber mats underneath me incase the weight drops.
yeah, I'm kind of cheap.
