In Season Training
I am currently doing WBB1 (i've been lifting for about 4 months) and i had a question. I am joining a roller hockey league in a few weeks and was wondering how or if i should alter my routine. I will be playing on Thursdays and Saturdays and as of right now i am lifting Mon-Wed-Fri. I am worried about overtraining or burning out. Right now we are practicing on Thursday nights and when Friday comes i am so sore and tired that i have a hard time lifting so i will lift on Saturdays. I don't think that will work once the season starts since we will be playing on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Any thoughts? I want to continue lifting but i can't be too tired or sore to play hockey. Should i switch to a two day a week full body workout? Should i just do lighter workouts? Thanks.
