I am the same way. I ice my legs regularly or they are always sore. As Chris said ETS from Atlarge is also a great product to alleviate those as well. It's helps me out my beat up legs.
I decided to hit some high block pulls. I forgot to measure the blocks but it was a lot higher then the 5 inch blocks I use. I worked up to 855 and it was heavy. Not sure how practical they are but...

Tom, do you see any correlation between the higher 15-18 inch block pulls and your pull from the ground? I am thinking about trying some higher block pulls just for fun but I also want then to help...
The swiss bar is awesome. It allowed me to be able to over head press again. The grip.angle like Vincent said takes a lot of strain off the shoulder and pec area.

Ets works. It helps keep you healthy and fresh for heavy lifting. If I run out and go a few weeks with out it I feel all my dings and little pains come back. Awesome for sleep too.
