To me, soreness proves that i have worked the muscle to its fullest. But on light wekks where i dont go to failure my soreness might not be as strong, or stronger. So i trive on it.

As a bodybuilder i would have to say that a overhand grip is better. Because it seems that when i do mixed grip, my traps grows uneven. and my symmetry is lost.
Hmm, ive read alot about "the old school" routine, never tried it myself. But apparently its a great 3 day split, where you work the major body parts, for great gains, strenghtwise and size wise.
I prefer standar side crunch, hanging side twist and bicycle crunch. But i dont really single out my obliques, i just tend to focus on lower and upper, and ever twisting movment is a upper ab movment...
Maybe you are over-working them? If you do a wie grip t-bar you will feel it pretty far out on your lats, and both pull ups and lat pull downs hit the lats as well. How about getting rid of one...
