Deadlifts... finally able to do them!

When I first started lifting a few months ago I was really struggling with the deadlift. I couldn't do very much weight and it hurt my back a lot. Then one time while trying them I hurt my knee or something and I couldn't do them for a while after that because pulling caused a sharp pain. My form probably sucked too.

Well my knee was feeling 100% better so I did them today. I started with 185lbs... hmm, way too easy I think to myself. Which is odd because before I struggled repping that. So I do a set of that and since it feels like nothing I decide to put a 45 plate on, so now I have two 45's on either side (225lbs). Still a bit too easy, so I put it up to 245lbs. This was a good rep range. I did a 5x5 set of that!!! I estimate my 1RM to be 275lbs (I attempted this but it slipped, but I could have done it for sure) Now this is my favorite lift to do, I can't wait to do them again next week!!!

Just thought I'd share it with you all, I'm real happy about finally getting the deadlift right! I'll try to get some video of me doing them!

Congrats man, I bet you feel like you just wanna go back and get some more in. Good first lift #s as well, now you just gotta start eating like a beast and you'll be set
Goal: Set a deadlift provincial record in mens junior.

Fantastic! Nothing makes you feel more like a Herculean freak than when you complete a DL workout to your satisfaction. Definitely king of all exercises. Now go eat a steak!
