Is it the same as drinking a cup of skim milk? Nutritionally? The facts are exactly the same, just wondering if one was better than the other.
they are both good.I buy organic or goats yogurt.Best to buy natural as most of the fruit ones contain alot of sugar.

If you are looking to drop the carbs even lower and eating yogurt primarily for the protein/probiotic benefits I would suggest trying a Greek style yogurt. Fage makes it (non-fat, low fat, regular) or if there is a Trader Joe's supermarket near you their brand is comparable (and even cheaper). One cup of their Greek style, Non-Fat, Plain Yogurt is 100 calories, relatively low in sodium, has only 5 grams of Carb (3g sugars) and a whopping 20 grams of protein. The usual brands, Dannon/Yoplait/Axelrod generally have a lot of extra sugar and their consistency doesn't even come close to Greek Yogurt (which is MUCH thicker ... like Sour Cream). Just my 2Cents.
I would be careful, most of the nonfat yogurts have tons of sugar mainly HFCS. Unless of course you go organic, then your good.

That's a BBing myth that you can't or shouldn't eat/drink milk products while trying to lose weight. In fact, current research shows that the calcium from dairy can be helpful when trying to lose weight. As long as the yogurt fits within your macros you shouldn't have a problem.

I found a lowfat (not no-fat) flavored yogurt that seems pretty decent nutrionally - it's Kroger brand "Carb Master" - they have a few flavors.

I'm not a low-carber, but I've been buying a lot of food marked "low-carb" on it lately, mainly because it's the only thing without all the sugar in it....These products generally tend to have more protein in them, too.
