I have these 2 little guys besides my head, i dont know which to believe....
this is what guy A says
look chubby, you need to cut. summer is coming, you got lovehandles and no abs are in sight. Your hella big framed, tall, with a low bf% youd look just like those homo picture models all the chicks dig so much (specially chicks my age dig that look) and you might even get some poon.
You have all these clothes from last summer you wont be able to fit into if you dont cut, your own mom wants you to cut, and your like twice as strong as all the 135 lbers in your year anyway.
Eventually youll have to take the fat off, and the best time is now that summer is coming. thats why you had it planned this way, and nothing has changed.
youve always been a chubby kid, now you know what to do about it, you have the motivation and the time to see your abs for the first time in your life.

Dont listen to what he says, boy. What kind of bodybuilder starts a cut when his lifts are rediculously low? Your like dang tall, you can get away with being 24%. look, your bulk hasn`t been what it should be. ignorance in the beginning, holidays, an injury, a vacation with peeps who dont bbuy quality food, things could have gone better.
but now your great. your lifts are progressing again. you figured out roughly how to eat to bulk, you can do it.
lets be honest, 6"3 bare foot, 203 lbs and 24% is hardly a strong muscular body. you need to pack on some more or you wont even have anything to cut into.
please help me out.

24% (eye guessed, electric holding thing says about the same)
14.5 inch arm (they look smaller since they are so damn long)
17.8 inch calf (thats alright, but probably like an inch less if i would shave them lol)
36.8 inch waist (navel level horizontal standing straight up afternoon abs flexed.)
thighs i dont know just how to measure but they are a bit ahead like my calves.
Chest is largish but i have the tendency to store fat there and i have some puberty gyno. ripped its probably hella small/
Go with 'A' thats what I did anyway.
-You will probably learn alot if you haven't cut before.
-And after the summer you will have 6+ months of bulking, yeey.
-The women will loooove you.Thats what I tell myself anyway.
-And just like high reps/low reps, different exercises, cutting / bulking is also important for maximal gain. (own theory)
i will wait till a good bunch of people voted here and go with the majority and finally stop thinking about this.

im 6'5 (bare foot) 180 lbs, ripped like a monkey, poon comes and goes, id rather be big and have a body builder look than a skinny but buffed model look, thats why im bulking
im around 12%, i was 10% at 170 lbs, my six pack is gone unless i flex, chicks like bigger guys, tall and skinny isnt cool, tall and big is, you should beleive me, all my friends are chics
id say cut about 20 lbs off, thatd take about 2 months, i think, then bulk, i cut big time before i lifted
As you get older, you'll get bored with shallow girls who are only into a body. But since you're young, I say cut up and score as much as you can.![]()

Do you know what your daily caloric intake is? You can shave off 500-750 or so Calories a day and eventually lose some weight, without going on some CKD-like cutting extravaganza.
Just choose the one that you really want right now, which is more important to you? to get big and strong, or to get cut for the women?

delphi what makes you think i dont know about calorie deficits and such?
muscle loss is not my main concern just that m unsure whch way i want to progress from here.
i guess i could have my mom take some pics.... the ;last ones i posted were very unclear and didn`t show much.

Cut your calories down a little, eat clean, but keep protein high ... Train with maximum intensity and perform cardio 2 - 3 times a week and see what happens.

You've been eating too much and your metabolism is slow if your at 24%. Eat less carbs and more clean food and your shape will come through. Don't go out and cut when you havent got much muscle to begin with .... your just gonna destroy the hard earned muscle that you've built thus far.

what do you call eat clean?
ive been eating clean for looong
(if thats eating no high gi carbs except post workout, or saturated fat)
also i have never stopped cardio.
I do eat huuyge amounts of food tho.
probably too much bread.

a 60/30/10 breakup semi starvation diet with 4 cardio sessions a week?

I find it hard to believe you re 24%, at least it did not appear that way before. You seem lean already.
If you want to get bigger than gain the weight and bulk but be more careful not to gain too fast. Then cut later on. There is always next year to cut unless you are trying to break your playboy record.![]()
well, i do know im chubby. if only you could give me a pic of a sure 24ish % person so i can compare.
i think a good reason for my not too great bulk, and its lousy lbm/fat gain ratio is my mother.
dont get me wrong im not pissed at her or anything but shes like 52 years old and was raised with the Food pyramid and the eat all the fruit and veggies you can and no meat stuff....
she complains when she thinks i eat too much meat, or too much eggs, or too many peanuts or tuna or whatever..... and when i tell i dont eat the carrots cuz they have high GI carbs and my vitamin A and vitamin and fibre needs are accounted for already she protests and tells me im ruining my body by not eating well.
she doesn`t know what carb or protein is..... who is she to judge.
she places no trust in me whatsoever and seems to think she is the one to see to it that im healthy while it is countereffective.
ive known for some time i should eat fewer carbs and fats and more protein but shes been not buying what i put on the shopping list and complaining about my diet.
(while she is like fat and did not hold on to the diet i made for her for longer than 2 hours)
i told her all this and how she can trust me and im constantly learning and i think it got through.,
now i need to make a good diet... with sufficient protein.... boy its gonna rock my world cuz ive never had near enough....
Your situation is actually a lot easier to remedy than others I have seen. One of the first thins I would do is look at my budget. If you can afford it, you need to buy MRPs or protein power supplements. And you need to work some.
Whatever you choose, pick one and stick with it for 8 weeks.
I've made the mistake of bulking with fat gain fear and cutting with muscle loss fear and it amounts to your body not changing at all.
I'd say cutting first would be better since it would teach you discipline that you can then apply to a clean bulk session as opposed to "eat every f^&(ing thing you can find" bulking session.
Also experiment with volume and progression. My progress has haulted recently because I do the same 3 sets of the same 8 exercises all the time.
Try some negatives, try some super slow, try some higher volume, anything - just shock yourself a bit.
Also, one thing I'm trying now that I am cutting is to increase reps slightly and to superset as a means to burn more calories during weight training.
eg. upper body supersets
bench/chins (no rest between them, 1min between supersets)
fly's/reverse fly's
etc. etc.
To start you should use less weight than you are used to.
