I looked at the ingredients and the first two were sugar and dextrose... I wanted to know if this stuff was good to have right before/during a workout.
The thing is, I usually never had a pre-workout meal. I sometimes have a meal and hour before and a quick fruit and coffee right before the gym.
Really, the whole idea of a pre-workout meal is kind of shady to me... I know its to help me get energized for the workout but could I just have some simple sugars right before I workout and some during and not even worry about making meals geared toward the workout?
Research has shown that protein and carbohydrates before a workout will increase endurance and output. It will help your workouts be more productive which ultimately equates to better gains and more muscle.
So some whey+gatorade powder pre-workout can benefit me?
What are the numbers like? 25g of simple carbs 30g protein?
I just pulled those numbers from no where.

whey + gatorade is a good combo. Some people have one before, sip on one during and have one after. There's a "get built" issue that covers PWO nutrition like that.
