    Cool weightlifting website

    I am sure this has been posted before but i found this site and read "from the ground up" and it is a great read. If anyone hasn't read it i recommend it. The website is danjohn.org or just search from the ground up and i am sure you will find it. Enjoy

    I have been on it. The website is a little obsessed about benching, hence the name i suppose. Decent website though.

    Dan John has great, great stuff. His video on squatting and OLs (on Google, I think) is a MUST-SEE!
    A child does not learn to squat from the top down. In other words, he does not suddenly make a conscious decision one day to squat. Actually, he is squatting one day and make the conscious decision to stand. Squatting precedes standing in the developmental sequence. This is the way a child's brain learns to use the body as the child develops movement patterns. Therefore, a child is probably crawling, rocks back into a squatting position with the back completely relaxed and the hips completely flexed, and stands when he has enough hip strength. This approach makes a lot of sense and can be applied to relearning the deep squat movement if it is lost. -Gray Cook

    Just about the best 2 pieces of squat advice ever... gotta love it!!!

    PLUS... Dan John looks like Budda.. with the round belly... and the incredible knowledge he has... and pretty freakin' strong too..
