I think I need a better pre-workout meal for working as my workouts have not been so good lately. I've been trying to lose weight recently so I am eating less but try to get some food before I workout. For example, I may have a peach or a plum, or something like that.
For a person trying not to gain weight and still have a great workout, what would be a good pre-workout?
Cooked Oats in water. Nice carbs, less fat cause you're not using milk. There ya go. Or have a grilled chicken breast with a baked potatoe and some low fat sauce with it ...
I like a banana and oatmeal.
Oatmeal, PB sandwich, bowl of cereal. Also, make sure to drink at least 32oz of fluid, preferably half gatorade/half water. regardless of a weight loss goal, you still need to fill the gas tank before you go driving
Eggs, banana, oatmeal or - if you don't want to deal with the eggs, Protein powder with casinate in it, oatmeal and a banana.

Protein and carbs.
Complication breeds desperation.
I usually just throw Nitrean, skim milk, oats and a banana or frozen berries in a blender. Does the trick for me.
