i was reading some older threads. and in the situation i am now im just going to start lifting to get stronger again..not cutting or bulking. just eatting healthier and getting started. i wanted to know if there will be a point in a month or so where i will be able to tell that i can't get much stronger without actually eatting more to bulk?
or... sort of explain the difference and different types of workouts for body building and strength training? i dont know i was just thinking and it was drivin me crazy![]()
A lot of "bodybuilding" workouts focus on body part splits (ie Mon- Chest, Tues- Back etc etc). Body Part Split = Crap. Focus on heavy compound movements and don't worry about all that other stuff. Bench, Squat, Dead, OH Press, and Row and you'll see plenty of gains in both strength and size (if you choose to eat above maintenance). There are a million different "strength" protocols out there. A lot of them are effective, but at the same time, a lot of people try to jump into complicated things instead of focusing on the basics.
Fuck, fight, or hold the light.
