    update on meet

Just got done with my meet today, WOW that was a long one, got there at around 7 weighed in and got in the 220 class, didnt get over till about 9pm.. big turnout today and i kicked ass. I did 310 for my openiing bench and smoked that but i had my loops on from the wrist wraps so i got red lighted.. next lift i got that EASY. 3rd attempt was a solid one, 331 raw and a good solid 2 second pause, got that lift. felt like i could have got 340-345.

It was another 5 hours before i got to deads so my adrenaline was racing for a few hours... not good. I calmed down and took a 10 minute nap, then started getting prepped for daeds. pulled 465 like it wasn't there raw, then got 500 like it was a toy, but got red lighted because they didn't like that i pulled back after i got it past my knees.. oh well, last attempt i went for the american record at 531 ( record was 529) and pulled it fast as hell off the floor, got it to my knees, just couldn't quite finish it off. A lot of guys had squat/deadlift suits on and im sure with a little practice 550 would have been within reach.

All in all i kick ass time, talked to a lot of people, picked up some pointers and got a gold medal in deadlift for junior category, and silver for bench in junior. I will be posting pics in a few days!
