Arch enemy cancelling in jacksonville NC..

So im pretty sure im the only one on this board who bought tickets for the Machine Head, Arch Enemy, Sanctity, and Throwdown show in Jacksonville, NC last night.

So me and my friend drove almost 3 hours to see Arch Enemy mainly, who is one of my favorite bands. When we got there, Throwdown, and Sanctity had already played. I was pretty bummed but I came to see arch enemy. Right when we got there all of their **** was set up and then a guy comes out to the Mic and says "Arch Enemy will not be playing tonight due to an 'Asthmatic condition."

I really still cant believe that happened. Waste of gas, tickets, time, everything.

This got me thinking, an asthmaic condition? These people are on tour and play every ****ing night, and they havent cancelled any other show except this show which just happens to be in a small town in north carolina near a marine base. All their other shows are in GIANT citys. I really hope it was asthma, I really want to find out if thats the reason. Because it seems like its just they didnt want to play at a small venue with a bunch of marines in a small town, that would make more sense than asthma...

    What do you guys think?

Btw, im not huge fan of Machine Head, but they were really awsome. Thank god we got to see something..

I was very close to going to that show, but I ended up passing on it because I would have had to drive back after then gone to work today... (plus I've got a cold, which would have made things rough). That totally blows, but I'm glad I passed now.
I think it's probably not bull****- they were very very clear (and strict) about no smoking the last time I saw them. I seem to recall hearing stuff in the past about them canceling shows because Angela's throat was ****ed up... so I don't know if it's asthma, but I'm sure smoke doesn't do wonders for a metal-vocal-inflamed throat. That's my two cents.

On a side note, Amon Amarth is playing in Charlotte in November... which is awesome since THEY canceled when I was going to see them.

Humm thats interesting. The place I was at had so much smoke in there it was almost unbearable for my eyes and just everything. I guess that would make sense then... im really bummed though, arch enemy would have been amazing.

but yes machine head blew it up, my ears are still sore!
