    College Life: Babes and Lifting

    Now that I'm in college, I've realized that the two most important things in life are babes and lifting. So, in honor of that, I've decided to get back into the gym (and kitchen) to look good for the babes. Here's the first lifting session I've had in 2 years:

    Jerks
    -45 x 3
    -65 x 3
    -95 x 5
    -105 x 3
    -115 x 3

    Deadlifts (my favorite)
    -95 x 3
    -115 x 3
    -135 x 3
    -155 x 3
    -185 x 3
    -205 x 2
    -225 x 1
    -245 x 6
    -245 x 3
    -225 x 6

    I think I'll be back up over 3 plates very soon.

    Dips
    -BW x 8
    -BW x 4.5 (couldn't lock out)
    -BW x 3

    DB Bicep Curls
    -25s x 8
    -20s x 5
    -15s x 5

    Felt awesome to be back in the gym. It does suck to be weaker at age 17 than at age 15. But you can expect a lot more from me in these upcoming months.

    Oh, and by the way, here are my current stats:

    Age: 17, Height: 5'8", Weight: ~150 (guesstimate)

    Chris - Haha thanks dude. I like doing lots of warmup sets for badass lifts like the Deadlift.

    Coke - Thanks man. Back in the day you were and still are one of my inspirations. Huge strong mofo!

    Today's Lifting Session - Squat emphasis

    Deep Box Squats
    -45 x 10
    -55 x 8
    -75 x 6
    -95 x 5
    -115 x 5
    -135 x 5

    Gotta work my way back into the heavy poundages on these.

    Snatch to Overhead Squat
    -55 x 8

    Just learned today how to do these. Had some dude coach me in proper technique.

    Military Press
    -45 x 7
    -65 x 6
    -65 x 2
    -55 x 7

    Weak.

    Chinups
    -BW x 6

    Plyometric one-handed pushup exercise with medicine ball
    -BW x 10

    These are a lot harder than they look.

    fleep - Haha thanks dude. You keep it up too dude. You're a beast.

    Coke - Thanks man. You've gotta be one of the biggest journal supporters on WBB dude. You're awesome.

    ~~~~~Today's Lifting Session - Deadlift Emphasis~~~~~
    Power Clean and Jerk
    -55 x 5
    -65 x 4
    -75 x 3
    -95 x 3
    -95 x 3
    -95 x 3
    I think my form is kind of crappy and that's what's holding me back from doing more weight safely. I'm gonna ask someone to help me with my technique.
    Deadlifts (hell yeah)
    -55 x 5
    -95 x 3
    -135 x 2
    -185 x 1
    -225 x 1
    -245 x 1
    -275 x 1
    The 275 went up really slow, but I'm still going to go for 295 next week. I know I'll be over 3 plates again very soon.
    Dips
    -BW x 10.5 (+2.5 R)
    -BW x 7
    -BW x 5
    DB Bicep Curls
    -25's x 10 (+2 R)
    -20's x 5
    -15's x 7
    Today was fun.
    ~~~~~Today's Lifting Session - Squat Emphasis~~~~~

    Deep Box Squats (slightly below parallel)
    Warmup
    -45 x 5
    -65 x 5
    -95 x 4
    -115 x 3
    -135 x 2
    -155 x 5 (+20 lbs)
    -155 x 5
    -155 x 5
    -155 x 5
    -145 x 5

    Military BB Press
    -45 x 5
    -55 x 3
    -65 x 8 (+2 reps)
    -55 x 7
    -50 x 8

    Chinups
    -BW x 7.5 (+1.5 reps)
    -BW x 4
    -BW x 3

    One-handed Plyometric Medicine Ball Pushups
    -BW x 8 (on each arm)

    Big mistake...I will never exhaust my grip strength hanging on a pullup bar before doing these medicine ball pushups again. Hampered me on these.

    After you dropped almost a full stack on that new Alexi, I'd hope that makes its way into your list of priorities too.

    Lifting looks good.

    What the hell?

    You used to be a little bit chubby. Did you quit lifting, and just naturally lean out? Damn!

    I see you've grown a couple inches. I guess that did it, but damn..lol. I grew 7 inches between 6th and 7th grade, and another 5 inches by my sophomore year of highschool, but I still gained 115lbs of mostly fat to go with it.

    Feedback

    Coke - Thanks bra. The pull was insanely slow though. Gotta eat more!

    Viking - Haha for sure dude. I can safely say that music is my biggest priority in life right now. Then babes. Then lifting. Oh, and throw school somewhere in there too...but probably more toward the end haha. =)

    Elwood - Haha yeah you could put it that way. I think the natural abundance of testosterone in teens sort of produces that effect. But I'm back and ready to rock! And dude, whoa...how tall are you? That's a lot of growing.
