    Bako Shake

+5 to Bako for the recipe!!!
Anyways, I read so many posts concerned about fat. Its true 279% Saturated Fat Daily Allowance is what you are eating daily with this shake. Almost 3 times as much fat allowed for all meals in a single shake.

Honestly, most of us could care less about the macros. All I know, is i'm stronger than i've ever been, and bigger than i've ever been. It packs weight on really hard, (you gotta be training hard if you want minimal fat gains), and thats what most of us are looking for.

Drinking it right now at work!

It really is thick and so damn sickly. I used chocolate ice cream instead and I used about 350ml (1.4 cups) of smooth peanut butter.
    Must be over 3000 calories.

Edit: a quarter way through and my fingers are shaking. **** the bed!

I just tried half of a Bako shake for the first time today and my head is still in peanut butter overload. I'm scared to drink the other half tonight lol. Does it get easier to drink the Bako shake?

Wow, I feel like an idiot because I've never thought of doing that. lol. I always have different measuring spoons and stuff when it's a lot easier to just do what you do Bako. Do you measure the ice cream like that too? I've been putting the ice cream in a measuring cup to get 1 cup, then I have to scoop it out into the blender. Your way would definitely cut back on stuff I have to wash.

Yeah it gets easier after 2 weeks, then after 6 months of having 1 every day, it gets hard again. You just gotta hold your breath, and take it back.

i'm gonna try it tonight after my workout. it sounds delicious but i'll have to see.

edit: that was definitely amazing; hopefully it doesn't become gross after awhile like everyone else says. i think once it does start getting a little harder to swallow, ill throw in some bananas or something.

edit 2: with a banana in there it's perfect.

wow i love the bako shake!! I've gained 2-3 lbs and its only day 5 on the bako shake (I'm skinny as ****). I add 2 scoops of strawberry whey to the bako shake for a little bit extra calories. Now i gotta go down a bako shake and hit up 24 hour fitness

I am looking forward to seeing some nice gains with the addition of this to my diet.

This is the first time reading this. Its actually kinda funny because my shakes are 3/4 cup peanut butter, 2 scoops protein, milk and honey. I love them but I have been trying to cut so I have had to lay off them awhile. I'm 260+ and only 5'10 lol. Great read and good recipe.

I really want to try this because Im trying to gain weight. BUT peanut butter is reallll expensive. Couldnt this really harm someone? And what if I used REAL peanut butter and whole milk? lol

What do you mean by harm?

Real peanut butter (aka natty or natural) is about the only peanut butter anyone on this site uses, Skippy and that other junk are just peanut flavored hydrogenated oils with not as much protein, and are not exactly ideal for someone looking to put on lean mass.

Peanut butter isn't really expensive either, its like $3-$5 per jar, and if you get the really big jars at Cost-co or Sam's club you can save more money. I saw 35lbs online for ~$100 and strongly considering buying it.
