When you guys make it, does it have a thick foam of peanut butter on top? Mine does every time, and it's freakin' horrible. I can handle tons of peanut butter in the drink itself fine, but that foam is gross.

If you don't drink it right after blending it, you'll have to remix it with a spoon or something before every drink.

Is it ok to put left overs in the freezer, or is it gonna to turn out nasty?

    What's the olive oil for?

It will probably turn out nasty.

Olive oil is for healthy fats and simple way to increase calories. They vary with different brands, but the one I have, 1 table spoon = 120 calories. With the amount of PB in this shake, you could have 4 table spoons of olive oil in it and not even taste it. 480 extra calories without even knowing FTW!

I put left overs in the fridge. Just re-blend it when you drink it. It will be a little chunkier than usual.. which grosses me out.

I love this shake. I use a variation with frozen bananas, strawberries and extra olive oil.
Ill repeat this for anyone who hasn't tried this shake yet...don't eat it all at once. Good lord...

Why not? I drink 1 a day, right before bed, and I just chug it right back. I wont stop drinking until its all gone.

Well I don't measure it out. I just throw everything together until my blender is full...so I'm sure its bigger than the normal Bako shake.

If you just started lifting, are using a good routine, and are eating enough cals and protein, you will gain more than 10lbs your first month.

You can easily put on 15lbs if you are eating a calorie surplus, then drinking one of these before bed.

This is my shake recipe. It helped me gain 15+ lbs in one month.

    2,500 calories / 100g of protein

    1 cup peanut butter
    3.5 cups milk
    1 cup vanilla ice cream
    2 tbsp olive oil

There you have it. A day's worth of calories in one shake.

Comes out to about 40 ounces.

It's not that bad. A cup of peanut butter scares a lot of people. If you wanna be a wuss about it, try 1/2 a cup.

It's about as thick as a McDonalds milk shake.

Don't try drinking it all at once. You'll probably die.

    Cheers.

ps - Any shake with less than 1/2 cup of peanut butter is not a "Bako Shake". It's just a wannabe shake.

So technically its a smaller bako shake, but i cant fit any more liquid into the magic bullet. It's damn thick, but it puts the weight on.

    My shake concoction is usually:

    2 cups milk
    1 cup vanilla ice cream
    3tbsp heavy cream
    1tbsp natural peanut butter
    1 scoop ON whey
    1/2 cup CarboGain
    2 ice cubes

Comes out to around 1600 I think. One of these days I should re-calculate it.

I can't stomach any more PB, it makes me sick just smelling it. I drink two of the ones I posted above per day.

I agree, drinking 1-2 of these per day for 3 months starts to get brutal.

It's really neat when you're right at the end of the second one for the day and it's 1am. You swallow the last bit and immediately feel it coming back up. You fight the urge to throw up for 10 minutes, all while spitting out mouthfuls of drool as your body prepares itself for hurling.

    Good times!
