I read somewhere that the best way to burn fat is to run when u wake up before u eat anything because the body takes the energy it needs from your fat cells. Is this true??
On a side note is it true that u have to keep your heart rate up for 20min to burn fat because I only do 15min of pretty intense cardio (I run a 1 1/2 miles in like 13min on a treadmill for cardio)
On another side note I don't like cardio

yea morning cardio can be good. If you eat enough when you get back anyway. It has been debated several times before. I myself am trying 15min interval in the morning. Search on interval or cardio something like that.
I dont like cardio either, and I got a ******* cold the 3:rd time I tried it.

If you're doing the "morning cardio on an empty stomach" for fat-burning purposes, you might want to keep it at a moderate level (i.e., slow jog or fast walk on a incline).
If you're doing intervals for fat burning purposes, there's where you want to do those intervals at high intensity (i.e. run fast, then recover, then run fast, etc.) and you should be properly fueled and energized to give these your best effort.

The thing about running for 20 minutes to burn fat is semi correct, you generally need a warm up before starting your intense cardio, which means that when doing cardio, dont start clocking until you have properly warmed up.. Not to say use sweat as a guide, but GENERALLY a good indicator that you are "warmed up" is a constant sweat. You can also tell when your burning fat b/c you start to feel for lack of a better term, dazed, or almost "tunnel visiony (made up word)"...![]()
