I shower twice a day at the gym. Can't recall the last day I wasn't at the gym and showered at home.

Even if the showers were all private, it wouldn't matter to me. It's not really about that. Public bathrooms aren't very clean, and I'd imagine public showers aren't the most desirable place to get a shower in my opinion. I'd just rather be in my own shower.

Do you feel more comfortable taking a dump at home, or in a public bathroom? It's the same thing.

At my gym they have this super high powered scrubber/sprayer that they go through the showers with on the hour. They hit the sauna too.

I agree. I remember I had to use the public showers for two years in the dorms at VT. Luckily they had curtains. But even with curtains, I had to arrange my clothes around the barrier so that no one could see in. I also made sure to turn away from the curtain and sometimes had the shower spray on the curtain to keep its shape (something about the air pressure causes the curtain to suck into the shower stall). Overall, I got used to it, but I always wore flip flops and always put on shorts before I got out of the stall. Public showers should be banned. They should have co'ed showers though hehe.

taking a dump is very differnt then taking a shower. Taking a dump in a public bathroom is alot more uncomfortable for many reasons.(sights, sounds ,and smell)

You dont touch anything in the shower except the floor. Wear flip flops and the problem is solved.

People dont deficate in the showers. Well they did at my buddys univ. someone whent around to every dorm and took a crap in the showers. they called him the phantom S***** lol

This seem more like a problem with your sexuality then with shower floor hygiene.

During wrestling season, when people change they'd get naked and run around the lockeroom all the time. That, and having to roll around with sweaty guys all the time, grabbing each other.. I didn't really mind being naked around others at all.

And also, going out to the mat with just a singlet on while tons of people are watching you

I shower at the gym, it's a much better shower than at home. In fact if I could afford it I'd drive to the gym every day just to use the shower.

I don't really have an issue with being in a public shower (hey whatever people can have a free show if they really want it who could blame them?), I just prefer showering at home. All my things are at home (razor, bodywash, shampoo, hair wax, etc, etc) it just makes it so much easier. Besides, I wash my gym clothes anyways so who cares if I wear them home before changing.

Part of the reason people don't shower after the gym is because of the fact that old men are the ones who don't seem to care as much about letting it all out. They don't see the need to wear towels, ever, in the locker rooms. I don't have to much of a problem with it but I sure wouldn't mind them wearing a towel from the shower to the sauna or whatever. just my 2cents

ha ha ha only u mike would notice this.....lol

but i dont showerat gyms unless i have to go somewhere right afterwards, and when i get home i drink my shake and hop in the shower immediately

when i was playing football i used to hop in the shower immediatlely after practice cause it help ease the muscles and bumps and bruises a lot quicker, then normally i would take another when i got back to my room, cause while in the locker room id more just let the water wamr me up and wash most of the big dirt off and use some soap, but i just never fully felt right until i had that home shower.

so basically i got clean enough to be around people for diner, then to the dorm for second shower, then off to party for the nigth

still dont shower at gyms tho cause i just do it at home, why is this, i dunno maybe im just weird
