Feeling crappy after drinking a lot of water?

I've been actively trying to guzzle down more water, and the last few days I've been putting down 1.5-2 gallons a day. The problem is, in the morning I wake up feeling like crap. This goes away after a couple hours, but I was wondering if this was somehow related to my newfound water consumption, or if maybe I'm just staving off a little bug that's happening to coincide with my water drinking.

There actually is such a thing as "too much water".

I doubt you are causing yourself health problems, but if you feel like crap, perhaps you should take it as a hint.

But is 1.5-2 gallons really too much? I'm 6'1, 210 lbs.

That's a hell of a lot of water to consume in a day. Why so much? That could very much be the reason why you're feeling miserable.

    1 gallon is plenty.

I had heard from people on this board that 1.5-2 gallons was a good amount to drink. I will drop that down.

Not needed at your weight. 1 gallon is fine especially if you're feeling sick off the amount you're consuming.

When I used to work a labor job, I would drink over a gallon of water per day, easily.
Now that I am a desk-jockey, it's probably about half of that

Thanks folks. I'm not completely sure if I'm sick from the water or if it's something else. I'll drop it down to a gallon and see if I feel better in the mornings. Thanks!
