Do Abs show if you eat all the time?

This may be a stupid question:

Those who have great abs, do you see them ALL the time? I don't understand this--if we eat all the time to stay fit and keep up with our diet, our stomach is always appearing 'full' and so, no abs show. AM I missing something here?

I hear you guys talk about seeing your abs. I know I need to work mine out a lot more, but I am not fat. Just wondering.

If you see them on an empty stomach, you'll see them on a full one.

Nope. Mine are actually a little soft at night, especially after my biggest meal of the day (at ~6 or so). I definitely look "fuller" at night, but the abs aren't so great.

First thing when I wake up is another story, though. Don't look as pumped, but my abs are MUCH sharper. A lot has to do with yes, stomach volume. But a lot has to do with water retention/hydration issues.

I can see my abs at all times...if I eat a great deal my abs just get pushed out further but they still show regardless of my intake.

You see, I have a little fat around my waist--not very much, but my stomach just pops out when I eat.

ANother question--should I do cardio to lose this little fat, or just do abs? Also, if I do cardio, do I risk losing weight altogether or should I just up my meal/protein intake for those days?

I never do cardio, so I'm thinking if I do cardio for the next few weeks, I could lose the gut fat, and hopefully see some results. I just don't want to lose weight since I'm bulking right now (but at the same time, trying to gain lean mass).

    Yes, I'm confused here...

You're not supposed to eat so much that your stomache stretches bro. I eat a lot, but I burn a lot of calories. I don't bulk, so yeah, they do show most of the time, if I've just drank a lot of water and ate a ton, like at the holiday dinners at college, I can't see them as clearly, but yeah...
