    new diet

so i am 6' 170, and ive only gained about 20 lbs in past 1.5 yrs, working out a lot cause i realized i was not eating enough. now i am still eating healthy, mostly, as usually, getting up around 3k-3.5k calories. but it seems 50% of my diet is carbs, good carbs like fruit and juices a lot, but im wondering if this is a concern, and i am getting at least 1 g of protein per lb of body weight...

I imagine you're a lot higher on daily values than the "average individual" that the feds have based the 2000 calorie diet on. It I'd tap down a bit on the cholesterol, but everything else looks pretty solid.

If you say you're eating healthy, don't worry about the numbers. Take how you feel and look. By the way, fruit and juices really aren't good sources of carbs. Good for other things, but carbs come in pasta, rice, potatoes. There are complex and simple.

Most people here stick to staple foods like chicken, oats, pasta, rice, fruit, vegetables, milk, peanut butter.

I am looking for a good diet.

Hi, I am 16 years old and I am looking for a good diet. I am pretty clueless when it comes to my diet, but do make an effort to eat well. For the winter, I want to bulk up a little bit, and improve my strength. I don’t want to start taking any protein shakes or anything like that, so I was wondering if anybody could advise me what foods I should eat more of to increase energy levels, and promote muscle growth, and also which foods I need to avoid and why? Have a nice day.
