WTF? I've been dealing with mono and it's related fatigue for almost five months now. In the middle of December, I came down with the acute illness and have been over that part since February, but I just can't seem to get over this overwhelming tired groggy feeling. I still feel I have to hit the sack at 8pm every night, and it's really compromising my life. For anyone who's had mono, did fatigue ever last this long?

Don't know anymore..don't care atm.
Have you tried any activity at all, cardio, lifting, etc.? Some days I hit a major low, but about 5-10 minutes into my workout I get a nice energy boost. Are you still taking medication or anything to contribute to the drowsiness?
Yeah..I have. I tried going to the gym three weeks ago JUST to do a few warmup sets. I wanted to get back into it sloowly, and see how I'd react. The following week and a half after that I felt like crap and was absolutely beat. I'm a bit better now, but just still drowsy and lethargic. I stopped having major symptoms for like 2 months now, so I would think that my body's immune system should be caught up and over it by now.

When I had mono the fatigue lasted 6 months after the symptoms were gone.
Do you do any serious cardio? Have you gained or lost any significant amount of weight?
I honestly haven't been able to do much of anything these past few months. I've tried being as low key as possible, and the process is so god awfully slow it's making me go insane. And to be honest, my weight has been fairly stable the whole time. I've done my best to make sure I eat enough so I don't lose any muscle I have.

I never had mono but I can never sleep and I am always tired so I know how you feel. Good luck man. I would say if you have insurence, go to the doctors.
