Arnold, of course is near the top but I would have to go with Dorian Yates as #1 big mofo in my book. Just my humble opinion......& you know what they say about opinions..

I think most people would say Arnold because he was the first guy to really set the tone!

The thing is, I can't imagine anyone with more mass than Ronnie Coleman, ever walking the earth, let alone winning the Olympia. He is a friggin monster!

Ronne Colman is a monster, but he's also a nubain addicted muther fuker.

Dorian was sheer shredded, cut to the bone, Vascular, thin skinned, huge MOFO. His Muscle density was unreal.

I reckon Kevin Levrone is the best bodybuilder who never won the Olympia.

I reckon Lee Priest should place higher than Ronnie. Ronnie's just a big mess.

    Arnie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I donlt care that he was not the BIGGEST, I thought his physique was awesome...

He had a great body, aswell as an excellent "I will do what it takes" attitude...

He is the reason I started lifting and if most think about it they are prob the same..

i agree, arnold brought it to the mainstream in his time, and without his contribution who knows where bodybuilding would be now?

arnold being such an admirable star and such, bodybuilders are always respected.

I think Dorian has to be up there.

He took bodybuilding to a whole new level, most of us would say we use at least some part of his training philosophy.

It took most fellow competitors 2-3 years to catch him up and by then he was just retiring.

Dorian for sure, his back was the greatest ever. Ronnie is a monster, but I think if he competed against Dorian he wouldn't have any Sandow's.

Dorian Yates. He looked even freakier in Blood and Guts. He could barely fit in the hammer strength bench press.

Lee Haney. Symmetrical, muscular, and large. Somewhere in between Arnold and Ronnie.

Arnold because being the best Mr. Olympia is about more than just the best physique IMHO. Arnold put BB right into mainstream America's face.

With 7 mr.Os the Oak has to be regarded as the best thing to happen to the sport of bb. He has done great things for the promotion of bb and the education of the genral public about our sport..

Having said how much Arnold has done for bb I would still have to say my favourite bb of all time is Franco Columbu. His title in 76 winning lightweight and overall was impressive but his comeback in 81 after 4 years of rehab was even better.
He was so funny in "pumping iron" moving that Fiat.
it's a long way to the top from here...

Arnold, Sergio, Lee Haney, Dorian, or Ronnie. All of those guys were huge freaks of their day.

That midget Lee Priest was never Mr. Olympia, even if he may deserve it. Sorry Lee Please dont yell at me.

Come to think of it, who is the shortest guy to ever win Mr. Olympia? Did Franco ever actually win the thing?

Sure he did Budiak, in 1981 and 1982 i think. Twice in total.

Chris, i agree that Ronnie is a freak in his own right, but i think it is an insult putting him in with Dorian, Lee, Arnold and Sergio. Ronnie is not even a worthy 3 time winner yet because at the Olympia he looked dreadful. Kevin should have won that.

    Just my opinion though...

Actually Franco won in '76 broke his leg in half during World's Strongest Man carrying a fridge on his back and came back to win in '81. I had an old Flex magazine from the late eighties that had a picture of Franco when this happened, compound fracture at the shin, very ugly.

Dorian Yates IMO was the sickest freak ever! I saw a couple of the olympias that he was in and IMO not one competitor has yet to surpass his superior physique.

    Dorian is one ugly ****

Arnold was the greatest bodybuilder ever, his physique may not be as freaky as modern day olympians but he had a character both on and off stage that was so inspiring.
