    Female Olympian

Today I was inspired by a 5'1 115lb mother of three. She was in the olympics weightlifting and her story was amazing! I turned the tv on just before my workout and to see her accomplish something so amazing really got me pumped up.

Just wondering what other people do to get pumped before they lift.

I usually just go to the gym and try hard. Sometimes I listen to music. The motto "SFW." is by far my favorite.

Is this the German gymnast you're referring to? Pretty impressive for her to be 33 years old in a sport dominated by 16yo's.

She's actually an American Weightlifter, former gymnast. She went 6 for 6.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the female gymnasts get done playing with dolls and that gets them psyched up to go complete... you know, being that they're 12 years old and all. Seriously, can anyone looks at China's team and say with a straight face that those gals are 16? I gotta call shenanigans on that one.

Speaking of Chinese lifters. Did anybody see the 53kg 17yr old from China? He set a new Olympic record. That kid was SICK.

music and girls pump me up...but it has to be music i like, some of the stuff they play in the gym is so demotivating..for example britney spears, i mean how is that the appropriate music to be playing? shouldn't that be kept for girls sleepovers when they all stand in front of the mirror pretending to sing with a hairbrush

I assume you're talking about Melanie Roach. Yeah, she's pretty inspirational.

It was Melanie Roach. I definitley try to give it all I have when I am lifting but she makes me want to really push myself.
