Hope that things go well. Hopefully the surgery gets what it has to, and it stops there.

9-21-12 Friday - 1st day back after losing my kidney to cancer. Deadlift Day.

It's been about 7 1/2 weeks since the surgery. Starting back with some very light stuff. Been getting stiffer and achier in my joints just sitting around. This workout was humbling but it sure felt good to touch some weight!

Range of motion work and warmup wth the Indian clubs. I'm really stiff and tight!

    Deadlifts

    135 x 5 x 2 sets
(This felt as heavy as 405 normally would! Wow! I'll judge over the next 2 days if I should be doing these yet or not.)

    Seated DB Curls

    2 sets x 20 x 15 lbs.

    Seated Bent Over DB Rows

    2 sets x 20 x 15 lbs.

    Light Pulldowns

    2 sets x 20 x 60 lbs.

    Mini-band Overhead Seated Crunches

    2 sets x 20

This was very humbling to do but at least it's a start back. I'll progress little by little and see if I can come all the way back eventually.

    DB BPs

    25s x 30

    55s x 2 sets x 15

Had to miss Wed. Squat day. Have a relative in the hospital with open heart surgery and my back rehab ate up my time.

Diet is working. Have lost 7 lbs. this week. 233; had gotten back up to 240 Saturday.

10-15-12 Mon. Bench Day Bwt. 236 (Big carb load day Saturday)

Really hurting today. Overall, not just my lower back. Shoulder felt like they'd been beat.

    Bench Press

    Just the Bar x 15 x 3 sets

    Mini-band seated Presses

    3 sets x 20

    Mini-band seated flies

    3 sets x 20

That's all. It hurt so bad to get off the bench I had to roll off to the side. I was training alone today because my wife had my training partners (Teens) hired to tear out the upstairs bathroom to get it ready for the construction crew to start expanding and remodeling it...she's trying to save some money...they did a great job!

I may not train anymore until after the spinal injections on Thursday. I'm really hurting today (Tuesday). Getting out of bed and down the stairs was rough!
