    What the heck happened today?!?!

West Virginia got destroyed by East Carolina. I didn't see it, was at the PSu/Oregon State game, but saw the score and it sounded ugly based on the radio highlights I heard. Then I check Sherdog before bed and Chuck Liddell got knocked out by Rashad Evans?!?! Unbelievable! My predictions went for crap this weekend. haha.

Dude, I was at the Syracuse game and SU lost to the 114 ranked team in the country by 2 touchdowns. Even though SU is terrible, I would expect a BCS team to beat a really bad MAC team.

The BigEast and ACC are just awful this year (if not that last couple).

Syracuse is awful. Time for Robinson to go. They don't recruit well and now they are being out recruited by Buffalo, Rutgers and other NE teams that used to be easy wins on their schedule. It's bad. I think Robinson is done after this season, they talked to the AD during half time and he didn't sound too happy with the way things are going.

The Big East as a whole looks awful so far. Pitt, WV, Rutgers and Louisville all have bad losses. South Floride had a tough game yesterday. They're already down to two undefeateds in the second week.

The ACC has sucked the past few years. Florida State is nowhere near the same. The ACC wasn't that good before, but with Florida State being average, the ACC is awul. Miami, BC, VATech all suck. They were supposed to bring the ACC up to the SEC, that isn't even close to happening.

Let me say this. I live in and was born in West Virginia and love the Mountaineers. It's basically all we have here. No one has jobs or anything.

They looked unbelievably bad yesterday. That defense is completely ****ed. It's like..two seniors, and nine freshman and redshirts. I'm not sure what to think about the offense. We bitched and bitched the last couple seasons about Rodriguez running it constantly, and blowing the Pitt game because of his play-calling, but I knew we were screwed yesterday when the announcers mentioned how hard the wind was blowing. Stewart's "new" passing game couldn't fly in that, and although the rushing attack should be top-tier, it was a recipe for disaster.

We are completely screwed. ECU is decent, but they aren't that good. They'll lose in-conference. If Marshall will EVER win the in-state rivalry, it'll be this year. Sweet Jesus, the game will be in Morgantown, too. I'll be there. OMG. I'm typing this as it comes to mind. There'll be fires all over town. I better plan a second route out of the game!

I was at the Michigan game yesterday. In these first two games we've looked pretty much as ****ty as possible.

I was at the game. I went to EZU (ECU) and am a Pirate fan, though not quite like the majority of people at the game. ECU has a pretty solid team. They returned almost all of their defensive starters and it showed last night. They did a helluva job pushing WVU laterally along the line and keeping their QB and back from breaking the game wide open. They had a couple of picks and a couple of forced fumbles. Pinkney piloted the ship almost flawlessly. I was incredibly impressed with how poised he was in the pocket and the decisions he made. The team as a whole played a near perfect game.

I honestly think ECU is better than "decent". If they can keep this level of play up, they have a very good shot at winning out. Their biggest games left are Houston and Central Florida. They've got a game at NC State but I think that has the making of a raping. If the D steps up like today, I can't see State throwing anything at them. You've got to keep in mind that ECU beat two top 20 teams, one being a top 10. The game with Va Tech wouldn't have been near as close as it was if they wouldn't have turned the ball over twice while deep in their own territory. They shot themselves in the foot at that game but still pulled it out. The game last night was total destruction. WVU didn't put points on the board until the middle of the 2nd quarter. Anytime they put up a big play, ECU bucked up and shut em down.

ECU has got to be ranked in the top 25 if not the top 20. After the performance last night and the game against Va Tech, they've proven they can play some solid teams and still come out on top.

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.

Just saw the new AP top 25. ECU ranked 14th. First time in the top 25 since 1999.

Yeah dude..I'm not trying to take too much away from ECU or their win, but VA Tech has been crap the last few years, and I was trying to make the point that ECU didn't beat a good WVU team. They pushed around a TERRIBLE defense full of toddlers. That was NOT a #8 team, and Va Tech didn't deserve the ranking they had, either. Everyone is giving Skip Holtz all this credit, but all he did was take a mediocre team and make them slightly LESS mediocre. I remember them playing a bowl game in 2001 against Marshall, so they weren't THAT bad back then. They'll lose in-conference, though. They'll see BETTER teams than they've seen thus far, unfortunately. I'm crying on the inside. I've got a bad, bad feeling about the rest of our season. At least if Marshall wins the in-state game, I live in Huntington and not Motown..LOL

Invain- You better prepare for a whole season of that, followed by a vast improvement full of hope. Then, you'll become eternally frustrated at RR's inability to call anything but running plays. He would call a running play with 11 in the box. Just go watch the Pitt game from last year, where he threw away the national championship.
