    2008 NFL Season Weekly picks

I thought I'd start a thread about the upcoming NFL weekends and we pick every games' winner. I think it'd be fun for us to start a whole discussion/pick/review thread. So I'll start us off with my picks for WEEK 3.

Saints @ Broncos-Broncos, Cutler's throwing beautiful passes and the team's starting to mesh really well
Chiefs @ Falcons-Falcons, yeah...the Chiefs are just...the Chiefs are...from Kansas City and that's as interesting as they get.
Raiders @ Bills-Bills, this used to be an interesting game to watch but the Bills have made some amazing progress and Edwards is throwing some damn good passes.
Bucs @ Bears-Bears, bring Garcia back, you know it's the right thing, he lost in N.O 24-20 and he didn't take a single snap in the preseason.
Texans@Titans-Titans, the Texans are horrible and I think Collins has been playing well.
Panthers@ Vikings-Vikings, I think the Vikings know they have to win this game or else they'd be digging themselves in a hole that'd be too deep to climb out of, Jackson isn't starting.
Dolphins @ Patriots-Patriots, Miami's still got a lot of work ahead of them.
Bengals @ Giants-Giants, last years' super bowl champions are still moved by the motivation from being overlooked, once again.
Cardinals @ Redskins-Redskins, two subpar teams but I see the 'skins using last week's victory over the Saints as momentum.
Lions @ Niners-Niners, just because they're playing the Lions.
    Rams @ Seahawks-Seahawks
Steelers @ Eagles-Eagles, easily the best game on Sunday, with two of the best in the league, it'll be a high scoring affair relatively close to what we saw on Monday night.
Jaguars @ Colts-Colts, after shaking off Week 1's disastrous performance at home against the Bears, Peyton's getting back to being himself. My poor Jags, we need an offensive line and a key/play maker receiver.
Browns @ Ravens-Ravens, I don't think Cleveland's THAT bad I just don't think they're above average. Though, they've played 2 of the best at home.
Cowboys @ Packers-Cowboys, God I hope the Packers but I think the experience of the Cowboys and coming off of a huge win is going to make them undeniable at least for this game. It'll be a very good one.

    Monday Night Football.

Jets @ Chargers- Chargers, they had a very good game against the Panthers and in Denver well, you know.

Good idea but we already are running a WBB football pool on yahoo. I don't know if you weren't a member on this site yet, or you just didn't see the thread. I guess I can let you join even though the season has already started., but you'd be at a real big disadvantage. We are competing for some great At Large Nutrition products, but you can join for fun. Let me know.

Nah, brother, I never ran across the thread. I don't necessarily want to compete for anything. I still think it'd be fun if we came aross this thread and make some picks, I don't know.

Broncos will win in a high scoring game.
Falcons. Thigpen at QB? Nuff said.
Bills. Raiders just suck, bills are riding high.
Bears. I don't think the bucs can win with Griese.
Texans. Kerry Collins won't be able to do much.
Panthers. Gus Frerotte is not the answer.
Patriots. Miami is still a bottom of the barrel team.
Giants. The champs will keep it alive, and Eli manning will light up the Bengals non-existant D.
Redskins. I kinda think that these two teams are average, out of all games this is a toss-up. But the Redskins should be able to run the ball.
Niners. The Lions are just...the Lions.
Seahawks. Bounce-back game, wr's starting to get healthy.
Eagles. My favorite team (even though I'm form CA), so I'm biased. But no Big Ben for Pittsburgh, and the Eagles should be getting Kevin Curtis and/or Reggie Brown back.
Colts, despite Bob Sanders being out. Peyton Manning is returning to form.
Browns. They'll finally break through against a poor Ravens offense.
Cowboys. Aaron Rodgers won't play so well this game.
Chargers. Two heart-breaking losses, but they still may be the class of the AFC.
I'll have to gain a bunch of weight just to be skinny, and then a bunch more to even look like I lift weights.

I said the Panthers are the NFC sleeper but damn I can't see the Vikings going down to 0-3 at home. You're going to be right on the Cleveland/Baltimore game I believe now that I actually put some thought into it.

    My picks are...

    Broncos-Cutler is lookin amazing.
    Falcons-Chiefs suck
Bills-Raiders have potential, and Mcfadden is a stud. But Buffalo is a 10-6 team in my opinion
    Bears-Barely.It will be close
    Titans-A slightly better team
    Panthers-c'mon,Gus Frerrotte?
    Patriots-no brainer
Giants-Eli will have a big day
Cardinals-Im not sold on the skins.Cardinals are not that bad.
    Niners-lions suck,and Niners are a 500 team
Seahawks-Just because they are playing the worst team in the league
Eagles -Big Ben has a bad shoulder and Philly is firing on all cylinders.Look for Westbrook to have a big day.
    Colts-Getting better every week.
Browns-This could be their turnaround week. They are hungry.
Cowboys-Will be a close one the first half. But I think Dallas will be too much for them in the stretch
Chargers-Could be the game of the week.

I can't wait to hear the excuses Pats fans have for losing to the Fins who had won one game in more than a year before yesterday.

I dont think any excuses can be made, that was an ass kicking from the get-go. Brady may have been able to turn it into a shootout, but the defense didnt stop Brown all day.

Bucs game was crazy, Greise was awful most of the second half then brought em back

no excuse besides the brady argument. Brown made the defense look old and confused, props to him. He is literally the dolphins only offensive playmaker. Pennington is as bad as casell. Once they were trailing I knew Casell wasn't going to put up points. He's a bum.

The games look to be pretty one sided this week, with maybe 2 or 3 exceptions. The games I look to be close are the Pack/ Bucs games, Vikes/ Titans game, and maybe the Cards/ Jets game.... I feel an aerial assault in that one. Not gonna make my picks ATM, but all I got to say is GO PACK
