Starting strength order of exercises question

Does the order of the exercises matter on a workout?

on workout A it states, squats, bench, dl, but can we switch it around or have to follow that ordeR?

Squats are the most important. The upper body exercise then comes next to allow your legs to rest a bit before doing the deadlifts. That's why it is designed in that order.

Correct, the order is of utmost importance. It will be brutal, but follow it to the letter, eat enough and you'll make good gains.
    Give chalk a chance.
