Carbos to stretch out the protein?

Hi guys, I'm kind of new so I apologize if this is a beginner question. A year or two ago, someone explained to me if you eat a lotta carbs after putting down a lot of protein, it will help to "stretch out" the protein so that it releases more gradually, better. Has anyone heard this? I can't find any documentation of this and am looking for guidance, thank you.

They're probably just talking about slowing digestion. If you eat a lot, it takes longer to digest, hence whatever's in your gut (including protein) releases over a longer period of time. Also, fiber increases digestion time, and lots of carbs have fiber. Solid foods digest slower than liquids, etc.

Don't get hung up on these details.
