    Deficit deadlifts, thoughts?

I am very weak off the floor and am thinking of hitting some deficit deads hard. I will be replacing normal deads with deficit ones and obviously lower the weight to accommodate that. Is this the right line of thinking? What is the best way to overcome my problem?

That is what Lones had me do when I was stuck at the floor on my deadlift.

Try snatch grip deads also. Defecit deads are a great exercise.

I found that narrow stance deep squats brought up my bar speed off the floor too.

Bro your right on track! A 3 inch box or a 100 plate, go beltess, deadstop reps, heavy five rep sets for a few weeks, then triples, then add the belt. Do heavy abs and gms as well.

Deadstop reps? Is that when I do deads in the cage and put the bar under the pins?

I didn't use the belt for my deficit deads today, I like it.

defecit deads are a great movement, they helped me off the floor when i pulled raw. now i am geared up and don't have trouble off the floor.

be careful with these. they take a lot out of you and take some time to recover from.

Don't bounce off the floor. Reset every rep. That's what Rock meant.
