No kidding! I was getting sick of hearing how the game would be tainted forever. I mean, BOTH teams were playing in the rain. It's not like one team had an advantage over the other.

I'm not a baseball fan but good for the Phillies. You guys haven't had a championship team since the 70's so you deserved it.

Well it was the 80's actually. The early 80's. The Sixers won the NBA title in '83 and the Phillies won their only other World Series in 1980.

    God bless you Philadelphians....

Caught up in the glee of a World Series victory last night, Philadelphians took to the streets for a wild celebration. Then they took to the lamp posts. Then the people who took to the lamp posts took hurled Grey Goose bottles to the head. Because hey, why should that guy get to climb a street light? Does he think he’s better than us?

Be sure to listen closely for the rewarding sound of frosted glass against cranium. Reminds me of that time I was in a big celebration and threw a bottle at someone. Of course, I was celebrating being the only drunk person at a MADD convention, which may explain the police’s involvement.

lol... yeah, unfortunately some out of control revelry occurred. However for a city whose old football stadium contained a jail (yes), I think we did pretty well. Not many flipped cars.

Then again the victory parade's tomorrow so that may change.
