How much Should I really pay for this?

    http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ce=&cardist=38

What should I really pay for that car? I have 4500$ in cash so that should help. I know car prices have dropped a lot due to the economy.

Just keep looking for the same car else where and see what people are charging that should give you an idea. Then youll want to try to lower the price once you find the lowest possible price.

I'm thinkin about offering 4500$ in pure cash. If they say no, well then they can keep the offer in mind.

Don't be fooled by this Chevy mechanic^^^, Fords are the way to go! (comming from a Ford mechanic) that said, they are asking way too much. It would appear he's put a little money into some upgrades, but its still a focus any way you slice it. If you can get it down to 4500 I'd say thats a fair price, but 3500 would be even better.

HEy now. Chevys are easy to work on, parts can be found about anywhere, and the dont have as many problems that Ford do. Ah Ford vs Chevy. The batle never gets old

I don't get. There are still some people in America who actually believe Domestic is better than Toyota, Honda, etc. I understand some guys like Domestic cars for perference in style, wanting to be anti-Japanese, whatever... But you can't say anything bad about Toyota.

But the original poster is correct. Car prices have dropped in general but small compact cars are in greater demand as well. So for small compact cars, it almost evens out. But it of course also matters where you live.

I don't know what the SVT blue books at, but I think the price the dealership is asking is only an asking price.

I was looking to buy a ford focus and one time I found I found a 2004 with about 85,000 miles for 6000 and then I found a 2006 with the same amount of miles for 8000 so I'm pretty sure you can find a new version of that car for around the same price.

Cash doesn't mean anything. If the person brings me a bank check because they got a loan or cash, it is all the same. The only difference is if they haven't gone out and got approved for a loan and want to dick around.
