    Wooo, 1000lb club finally

After a little over a year of seriously lifting I finally got to the 1000 club. I might have a little more in me for squats and deads, and I know I can get 300 on bench so I'm retrying that again relatively soon. I've only been squatting more than 8ish months I think, I had to take tons of break from them while working in a warehouse.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy to finally consider myself semi-strong. Finally put my lifting numbers in my sig.
    22 - 5'10@236lbs!
    Bench - 325 (old)
    Squat - 455x2 (old)
    Deadlift - 500(old)

    Total: 1280lbs 100% raw

The key to my exercise program is this one simple truth: I hate my body.

You are actually someone I look up to on this board since you came from my present situation (140lb weakling), so youre a person I aspire to being.

What? did you jump from like 995 to 1070?? how did you just hit the 1000 club yet your totals are at 1070? Good work anyway! I might be there too, just haven't maxed in a bit.

Wow, that means a lot, thanks. I didn't know I actually inspired someone

Well I mean it's official now, I'm sure I've been there for a little while I just never maxed all three lifts officially. I've known for probably a month or two that I was at least at 1000lbs.

I'm hoping to get my squat to 405lbs too, couple more months probably.

Thanks guys. I didn't think I'd actually get to this point, I remember adding up what totals I did have and only being around 800lbs and how pissed I was. I guess that's what fueled me.

Thanks guys. Here's a picture of what I think is the lowest point of my squat, but I may have been lower as I generally brush the safeties. Not sure when the picture was taken during the squat.

Nice! I would definitely lower the safeties though. You'd have no problem dumping the bar backwards if they were lower, and it's a lot better than the bar bouncing off of them.

They don't bounce off, I go down slow enough so that I can just feel it graze the rubber and then I go back up.

I may lower them though, because every now and then it does hit harder and screws the rep up.

This week I'll be at 290lbs. Every week I get all 5 reps for every set so I think I could probably add more weight than 5lbs a week, but this way I never seem to stall out so I stick to it.
