Has anyone replaced rows for power cleans on Bill Starr

Bill says you can sub power cleans for rows, which is what im doing, im just curious as to whether you guys still do 5x5 power cleans or something like 8x3?

Sure you can. Just add in some pull ups to the routine. I would do 5X3.

I'm doing this at the moment. I did a 5x5 program before with rows. This time I'm doing it with cleans. I'll probably start mixing in rows again when I start stalling.

I would say, depending on how much volume your doing with your other lifts, that would decide your rep scheme.

Put 'em in 5x5 till they get heavy, then switch to 3x8. My form goes to hell quick on heavy sets.
